Admissions
Process

Applying to C.H.O.I.C.E. Preparatory Academy requires the following steps:

At our inclusive micro-school, we embrace diversity and are committed to providing quality education to students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and other learning diversities. Our admission process ensures that every student's unique needs are understood and catered to appropriately. To enroll a student, the following steps must be completed:

1. **Initial Inquiry:*

  • Prospective parents or guardians initiate the admission process by completing the questionnaire below, by phone, or by visiting the school in person.

2. **Introductory Tour Meeting:**

  • The school's admission coordinator or parent will schedule an introductory tour meeting with the school administration team.

  • During this meeting, the school's inclusive philosophy, curriculum, and support services are explained.

  • The administration team will have an opportunity to discuss your child's specific learning needs and review all documentation and IEPs, if applicable.

3. **Review of Previous Documentation:**

  • Parents are requested to provide all documentation from the student's previous school(s).

  • This includes academic records, IEP documents, psychological evaluations, and any other relevant assessments.

4. **Individualized Assessment:**

  • A comprehensive assessment is conducted for each prospective student.

  • Our team of educators and specialists evaluates the student's academic abilities, learning styles, and any additional support requirements.

  • The assessment helps us understand how to create an individualized education plan for the student.

5. **Parent-School Collaboration:**

  • After the assessment, a follow-up meeting is scheduled with the parents or guardians.

  • The assessment results are shared, and the proposed individualized education plan is discussed.

  • Parents are encouraged to provide additional insights and feedback to ensure the plan aligns with their child's needs.

6. **Trial Period:**

  • In some cases, a trial period may be recommended to assess the student's comfort and progress within the micro-school environment.

  • The trial period allows both the student and the school to determine if it's the right fit.

7. **Acceptance and Enrollment:**

  • Upon successful completion of the assessment and trial period (if applicable), the student is officially accepted into the micro-school.

  • The parents or guardians are provided with enrollment documents and are required to complete all necessary paperwork and pay the registration fee.

At our inclusive micro-school, we believe in building a supportive and nurturing community where every student can thrive. The admission process is designed to understand and cater to the specific needs of each student, ensuring they receive the best possible education and support.
